We are located in the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde (Heaven and Earth) Valley outside Hermanus in the Western Cape province of  South Africa. Our family run restaurant is surrounded by mountains, fields, fruit and vines; it is truly a magnificent valley and well worth a visit when you come to Hermanus to enjoy the coastal scenery, watch the whales or taste the wines of the area. What better than to schedule lunch at the cookhouse in the valley, now entering it’s eleventh year. We have loyal customers who return year after year when they visit the area. We always look forward to seeing them again and to meet new customers who we know will become friends.


Remember - Reservations are recommended! Bring your own wine - we don’t charge corkage! And....don’t forget your cheque book or cash - we regret, we don’t take credit cards.
